Refund policy

At Blacklight Therapy, each product is crafted and inspected with care. We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase and experience confidence in every order. This policy outlines how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (No. 68 of 2008).

1. Returns Eligibility

Returns are accepted for items that are:

  • Incorrectly supplied or defective upon delivery, or
  • Damaged in transit and reported within the required time frame.

For hygiene and safety reasons, used candles, oils, or diffusers cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty upon arrival.

To qualify for a return, products must be unused, in their original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

2. Reporting a Return or Fault

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive an incorrect or damaged item, notify us within 14 days of receipt.

Our team will assess the issue and arrange collection, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

3. Exchanges

If a replacement is preferred and the product is in stock, an exchange may be processed once the original item has been returned and inspected. Exchanges are subject to product availability at the time of the request.

4. Refunds

Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
Refunds are made to the original payment method used at checkout.
Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product.

5. Non-Returnable Items

For reasons of hygiene and product integrity, the following items cannot be returned or refunded unless proven defective:

  • Used candles or partially burned products
  • Opened oils, diffusers,
  • Gift cards or promotional items

6. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement if they have not yet been processed or shipped.
Once shipped, the order will fall under the standard returns process.

7. Damaged or Lost Parcels

If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us immediately.
Blacklight Therapy will assist with claims or replacements in coordination with the courier.

Please note: We cannot be held liable for parcels delivered to incorrect or unsafe addresses provided at checkout.

8. Custom Orders

Custom or personalised items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund unless defective upon receipt.
